Bikes For Christmas!

Okay, this has to be quick because time is running out. This webpage has just been slapped up so apologies it doesn't look very pretty.

I came up with the idea for the Adopt A Family website after reading an article in an American newspaper. In brief, it's an opportunity to help families in need, particularly at Christmas time.

I haven't had time to do anything with my idea this year and wasn't expecting to do anything with it for the foreseeable future either to be honest. One of those "wouldn't it be good if . . . " ideas we all have and then put on the back burner.

But a few days ago, I heard about two children in a nearby town, siblings aged eight and ten, who would dearly love bikes for Christmas.

In fact they've asked Santa for bikes for a number of years now, but the family's financial situation is such that he has yet to deliver.

I can't say too much else, but for £150 I can buy two brand new bikes that would make their dream come true this Christmas. And that's what I plan on doing.

I want to know if you'd like to be part of what will be an act of guerilla goodness.

The bikes will be delivered to the family via Social Services - I will never meet the two kids or even know their names.

I just know that they are two children who deserve to know that wonderful and magical things can happen at Christmas.

If you would like to join me, I'm asking you to send me £10 by Paypal. My paypal address is info@entrepreneur.co.uk.

You may or may not know me personally, but I'm hoping those that do via A4U and Acorn Domains will know that I'm a man of honesty and integrity.

I'm looking for 14 people to join me. I will list the names of those who do send £10 on this website as founding donors to the Adopt A Family website, although I've no exact plans of where it will go from here to be honest. At present it's a solitary act of random kindness that has been planned. Nothing more.

If you send me £10 and the £140 target has already been reached, I will refund you immediately. I will make up any difference to the target from my own pocket should the target not be reached.

So what do you say? Can you spare £10 to make two children
incredibly happy this Christmas?

Time is incredibly tight and it would be an amazing feeling to wake up tomorrow morning to check my Paypal account to find that at least someone reading this wants to share in making Christmas wishes come true for two wee kids.

I know times are hard and Christmas is an expensive enough time, but if you can help put huge smiles on two extra faces I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for your time and Merry Christmas!
